ree

Eliakim Capital is pleased to announce that Rich Washburn has joined the firm as Managing Partner and Chief AI Officer.

Rich’s addition marks an important step forward for Eliakim Capital as the firm continues to scale its work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, power infrastructure, and capital formation. His role reflects the firm’s conviction that AI and systems architecture must be represented at the highest level of leadership.

Why This Matters

Rich brings more than 30 years of experience across AI systems, high-performance computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology. His career has focused on practical execution—helping organizations move from emerging technology concepts to production-ready systems that operate under real-world constraints.

At Eliakim Capital, Rich will help guide:

  • AI and HPC architecture and deployment

  • Technical diligence for infrastructure and emerging-technology initiatives

  • Alignment between compute, power, and capital strategy

  • AI readiness, governance, and execution discipline

His appointment materially strengthens the firm’s ability to underwrite, design, and execute complex intelligence infrastructure.

Joining a Multidisciplinary Leadership Bench

Rich joins a leadership team intentionally built across capital markets, technology, governance, national security, and public policy—reflecting Eliakim Capital’s belief that durable outcomes require coordination across disciplines.

Alongside Managing Partner and capital markets strategist Todd Colpron, Rich will work within a broader advisory bench that currently includes:

Barbara Matthews, Advisor, Capital Markets & Governance – Seasoned capital markets and governance strategist with deep experience in IPO readiness, governance architecture, and cross-border financing.

George “Trip” McIngvale III, LTC (Ret.), Advisor, Security & Strategic Operations – Veteran Special Operations and national security advisor with decades of experience in crisis management, interagency coordination, and resilience planning.

Christopher Johnson, Advisor, Global Impact & Strategic Development – Global social-impact leader with over 30 years of experience guiding international development, sustainability initiatives, and complex stakeholder engagement.

Benjamin Callis, Advisor, Technical Strategy & Product Innovation – Technical strategist and product architect known for translating complex technology concepts into scalable, high-growth solutions.

John B. Matthews, Advisor, Global Operations & Supply Chain Strategy – C-suite operations and supply-chain strategist with extensive experience in global manufacturing and enterprise value creation.

Terri Hasdorff, Advisor, Government Relations & Strategic Partnerships – Expert in government relations, federal partnerships, and high-impact regulatory strategy across public and private sectors.

Marvin R. LeRoy, Jr., Advisor, Nonprofit Strategy & Philanthropic Leadership – Veteran nonprofit leader with four decades of experience advancing mission-driven organizations and philanthropic impact.

John Barker, Advisor, Corporate Development & Strategic Partnerships – Accomplished executive specializing in corporate development, strategic alliances, and business expansion across diverse industries.

This structure ensures that technical, financial, regulatory, and geopolitical considerations are addressed together—not in isolation.

Looking Ahead

The addition of Rich Washburn reflects Eliakim Capital’s continued focus on assembling a leadership team capable of operating where compute, power, capital, and policy intersect.

As AI infrastructure becomes increasingly central to economic and strategic outcomes, Eliakim Capital is building the depth and discipline required to support clients and partners at scale.

We are pleased to welcome Rich to the firm and look forward to the work ahead.
